Boston Salutes America’s Veterans

On Saturday, November 11, Massachusetts will honor an estimated 380,000 veterans living in the Commonwealth. Celebrate our hometown heroes as well as those who continue to serve our country at the Boston Veterans Day Parade on Saturday, November 11. The parade will begin at 1:00 p.m. by marching up Boylston Street to Tremont Street, and end at City Hall Plaza where you can hear a variety of speeches, anti-war poetry readings, and music. Join together with neighbors, friends, and family and support this annual tradition by paying tribute to the brave men and women who fight for our freedom.

In the Blink! of an Eye, it’s Time for the Holidays

More lights. More music. More color. And more sound. This year’s magical Blink! Extravaganza will use over 350,000 LED lights to illuminate Boston’s skyline and dazzle Faneuil Hall shoppers. The sparkling light show will dance seamlessly to holiday pop music recorded by Boston Symphony Orchestra during the seven-minute spectacular. The season’s festivities will kick off with live performances, carolers, and a special 84-foot tree lighting ceremony on Wednesday, November 29. The shows will continue daily at 4:30 p.m. and run every hour on the half hour through New Year’s Day – shining bright and spreading holiday cheer all throughout our little corner of the city.
