Core Fusion at the Common
Summer in the city means getting out and soaking up the sunshine as much as possible. On July 13th, you can get your daily dose of vitamin D along with your workout, with a FLX Wellness PopUp Pilates Barre Fusion Class at the Common. Led by Pilates specialist Kara Duval and Barre Xpert and personal trainer Leanne Smith, this fun, 55-minute class is designed to strengthen, lengthen and tone your entire body.
If you haven’t yet taken a FLX Wellness class with Kara or Leanne you’re in for a treat. A former ballet dancer, Kara is a true believer in proper form and technique. She will work on strengthening your core with classical Pilates sequencing and innovative, challenging core exercises.
Leanne taps into her background as a dancer as she leads you in barre postures inspired by ballet, yoga and Pilates. With an emphasis on low impact cardio functional movement, balance, and stretching, these exercises are great for everyday strength and endurance as well as injury prevention.
Using body weight, seat exercises and more, this unique, outdoor Core Fusion workout is an exciting way to change up your routine and focus on alignment, toning and total-body strengthening. All ages and fitness levels are welcome, so put on your best sweat-wicking fitness gear, grab a mat, a friend and a big bottle of water and get ready to get summer strong.
