5th ANNUAL BOSTON TECHJAM

June 15 from 4 to 9 PM, City Hall Plaza will be the gathering place for thousands of tech enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, emerging and leading tech companies, venture capitalists, incubators, students and members of Boston’s innovation community. Started as an informal block party, TechJam has become the tech community’s premier networking event – and it’a whole lot of fun too. Come and meet cool companies, enjoy tech-based art from innovative local artists, groove to live music, sample the wares from Boston food truck, enjoy locally brewed beer and mix and mingle with the coolest tech kids on the block. SCOOPER BOWL

Celebrating its 35th year in 2017, the Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl is a three-day event at City Hall Plaza that dishes out 20 tons of ice cream to more than 40,000 ice cream lovers from across the city. For the entry price of $10 for adults and $5 for kids age 3-9, you can indulge in all-you-can-eat ice cream scoops and novelties and enjoy live music and entertainment. The best part is that it is for charity! Since its inception in 1993, the Scooper Bowl has raised over $5 million dollars to support cancer research and patient care at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Check it out June 6-8 from 12 noon to 8 PM. Can’t attend, but still want to support the cause? FROG POND SPRAY POOL OPENING

Summer is here! On Thursday, June 29th kids 12 and under can join Boston Parks & Recreation, the Skating Club of Boston, and Frog Pond Freddy to kick off the summer at the 10th annual Frog Pond Spray Pool Opening. Apart from splashing around in the 10-foot spray flume, there will be lots more to enjoy, including loads of family activities, giveaways, food, refreshments, bubbles, science experiments, face painting and magicians. After June 29th, the Frog Pond spray pool will be open daily, 11am-6pm through Labor Day, September 4, 2017. Come cool off at this free summer event. Learn more here.
