ALEX:
I grew up in South Windsor, Connecticut…it was a small town, farm land mostly. I got really into soccer at a young age and played my way through school. First at a college prep school in Connecticut, then during a post-grad year at Worcester Academy in Massachusetts and finally at Sacred Heart University where I also studied psychology and marketing. I attempted to play after I graduated college, but decided I needed a real job [ha-ha!].
My mom was a real estate agent and I was always interested in her job. I realized as I was traveling up and down the Eastern Seaboard that I truly had a passion for beautiful homes and knew that I had to get involved. My sister helped me get a job at Millennium Place, which is where I first discovered what city living was all about and how beautiful properties could be. It drove my passion to want to do bigger things within the company. Eventually, I got a call from Brian Clark to work at Millennium Tower and I couldn’t say no.
The staff…they’re phenomenal and the amount of collected experience we have you won’t find anywhere else in Boston. I also like connecting with the residents…it’s what makes coming to work each day so enjoyable.
That’s a tough one, but I think FLX Wellness. As far as residential gyms, it’s one of the largest I’ve ever seen. Plus, the team is phenomenal and you have access to the best equipment out there.
Beantown Pub. It has a fun atmosphere and a little bit of everything. There are pool tables in the back and they serve a good burger.
When I first moved to Boston, I lived down on Washington Street. I walked to and from my job at Millennium Place at all hours of the day and would always see a lot of things I didn’t want to. When I walk around today, I see how much it has cleaned up. It’s such a historic neighborhood and now, thanks to Millennium, there’s these expansive beautiful buildings and wonderful shops and restaurants popping up everywhere.
I’m not sure if it will be completed within the next year, but I’m looking forward to watching the next Millennium property, Winthrop Square, go up.
