The weather for the 2017 Munich Oktoberfest calls for rain, but fortunately, as a resident of Millennium Tower Boston, you won’t be needing an umbrella to celebrate.
Put on your lederhosen or dirndl dress and join your neighbors in The Club on Thursday, October 19 at 7 p.m. for our fall festival celebrating everyone’s favorite things including giant pretzels, German beer, and lots of merrymaking. Then, raise a stein and learn how to sing the traditional “Ein Prosit” song with Ludwig and Auntie Hilda from Schwarze Schafe German Band.
While you can never go wrong with lively music, mouthwatering food, and big pints of beer, what exactly are we celebrating? In 1810, Bavarian Crown Prince Ludwig married Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen. The celebration was such a blast that it became an annual tradition. Since then, the festival has grown to attract an average of six million visitors a year, consuming almost seven million liters of beer. As they say in Germany – prost!
